I have now used the D600 for a bit.
I actually took it with me on my recent trip to Turkey (see next post) and I have to tell you I like it very much.
Had the 24-85mm lens and it was very light compared to what I am used to (D700 + 24-70mm f/2.8). Didn't actually miss the f/2.8 which was a relieve.
It wasn't a steep learning curve either even without the WB and ISO button at the top. They are now sharing functions with the zoom buttons next to the LCD at the back of the camera body.
The twin memory card slot didn't hurt either. I had two 16GB SD cards in there and didn't have to swap with another, of course I'm not a trigger happy kinda shooter.
All in all, very happy with the purchase. I have since sold my D700 and when I brought it in to Camera Clinic for a sensor clean, I found out Nikon gave out one free sensor clean within a year of purchase.
Score!
